Winter 2015 Las Vegas Market enhances temporary exhibit categories

Las Vegas Market announced yesterday that it is enhancing the quality and diversity of its temporary resources - specifically in specialty tabletop, better home décor, handmade and personal care categories - with an influx of new and returning exhibitors at the upcoming Winter Market, running from Sunday, January 18, through Thursday, January 22, 2015.

In addition to the thriving gains in permanent showrooms, Las Vegas Market also is continuing to expand and enrich its temporary exhibits, with notable growth in the categories of specialty tabletop, better home décor, handcrafted items, trend merchandise and personal care resources,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “Temporary exhibits in the furniture category, located on B2, are completely sold-out for Winter Market and gift and home temporary exhibits in building C —on floors C-ONE, C5, C10 and C11—are chock-full of dynamic new and returning resources. As the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States, Las Vegas Market is committed to offering the industry fashionable, trend-forward merchandise assortments.

In connection with the accelerated launch of C5 as a platform for high-end home décor, home textiles, and accessories, Las Vegas Market will showcase a concentration of “best of the best” home décor exhibitors on C5 this winter. Notable among these are: Chesterfield Leather, FabFunky and Jill Sorenson. For the first time this winter, C5 also will feature a 1,000-square-foot showroom by REstyleSOURCE, a membership group supporting independent retailers and designers that has partnered with Las Vegas Market. The showroom will feature more than 60 products valued at $30,000, and one lucky Las Vegas Market buyer will win all of the merchandise.

Among suppliers and products featured in the REstyleSOURCE drawing are: Dash & Albert rug; E. Lawrence decorative books; Grace & Blake merchandise; Go Home items; Jamie Dietrich merchandise; Moss Studio sofa, bench and chairs; Piper Collection products; Ro Sham Beaux lamp; Saddlemans hide rug; Selamat Designs items; and Zoes Bios Creative grey velvet artwork.

Specialty tabletop offerings also will expand for the Winter Market with an impressive line-up of leading tabletop suppliers featuring new and innovative products within the C-ONE cross-category showcase. Notable C-ONE newcomers include high-end French table linen supplier include La Maisonnette; and Red Pomegranate, a supplier of handcrafted, gilded tableware. Other C-ONE newcomers are Bend Goods, Caracole, EurDecor, Marshall Clements and Seventh & 7th Designs.

Among highlights of the gift-focused temporary exhibits on C11, are the largest collection of handmade exhibitors to date, a new concentration of high-end personal care resources and a growing number of lifestyle and trend vendors. Within the MADE category, new exhibitors include, Cielito Lindo Studio, Erin Smith Art, Gravity Ranch Designs, Gretel Underwood Handweaving, Kapula Candle, Elidas Imports, Saline River Diamonds and Samantha Davimes.

Winter Market also will spotlight a newly merchandised section dedicated to personal care and fashion accessories within the overall GIFT category. Newcomers in this category include Liza Kim Accessories, Primal Elements, Our Nature Nurtures and Terra Nova.

Beyond these two specific enhancements, buyers at the winter 2015 Market will find an expanded number of exhibitors in the TREND and VINTAGE categories on C11. New and notable exhibitors in TREND include Alexandra Ferguson, Bison Bookbinding & Letterpress, Caryl B, Flying Bird Botanicals, Glint Candles, NPW, O-Venture, Papersalt, and Wallin & Buerkle. Notable new VINTAGE exhibitors include Copper Hummingbird, Kuzma Design ,The Great Maier Mercantile, True Vintage Bliss and WATTO Distinctive Metal Wear.

The furniture category, the largest and most established Las Vegas Market category, continues to experience strong gains in leasing activity for Winter Market, with temporary exhibit space on B2 completely sold out. Notable among the newest furniture exhibitors for winter 2015 Market are:: Dutailier Group Inc., Gat Creek, JoyBird Furniture, Maxwood Furniture and Million Dollar Rustic.

Las Vegas Market will host a number of free buyer hospitality offerings on each of the temporary floors during the winter market. Highlights include daily networking opportunities, evening entertainment and hospitality rooms throughout Buildings B and C. In Building B, there will be a complimentary happy hour on B2, Sunday to Wednesday, from 4 to 6 p.m. Special events in Building C include a Gourmet Demo Stage, on floor C11 (Monday through Wednesday at 11 a.m) featuring daily presentations about new products, store displays and demonstrations, along with giveaways and other goodies; daily free wine tastings in GOURMET on C11, from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday to Wednesday; a daily Brunch Bar served from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday through Thursday, on floors C5 and C11; and afternoon happy hours in bars on all temporary floors, daily from 4 to 6 p.m. (Sunday through Wednesday). A Buyers’ Lounge will be located on floor C10 near the lifestyle collection, offering a business center, complimentary coat/bag check and a new valet package service. There also will be restaurants and food vendors on floors C5 and C11 for the convenience of market participants.
