Themed areas and a broad programme of activities at the upcoming edition of INTERGIFT

The big attractions at this edition include the DELIC area and the activities of the DELIC SHOW; traditional craft work and new proposals by the #makers in the HECHO A MANO area; designer goods at NEO; and a wide-ranging programme of workshops, talks and presentations at the Speaker Corner.

The next edition of INTERGIFT, the International Gift and Decoration Fair, organised by IFEMA from 9 to 13 September, is moving forward in the organisation of its different themed areas and its wide range of activities which includes talks, presentations and workshops to offer professionals information on techniques aimed at driving their businesses forward.

DELIC and DELIC SHOW

In this regard and for the second year running, INTERGIFT will present a completely modern and fashionable offer in the DELIC Area, with an innovative format that combines gastronomy, the foodie world and household items. A sector that is enhanced with the important participation of companies like Anorinver, Aramis Decor, Ifa, Kook Time, Mastrad, Scandist, Tescoma, Thermos-Alfi and Vin Bouquet, among others. In the central plaza of hall 7 the sector will showcase the coolest gourmet accessories on the market, with proposals related to the world of wine and cocktails, designer teapots, accessories for budding bartenders or sushi chefs, the latest ingredients in creative bakery, etc. All of this will be accompanied by attractive show cooking and tasting activities, product presentations and workshops, and demonstrations by large specialists and renowned chefs as part of the DELIC SHOW programme which will once again be sponsored by The Singular Kitchen.

HECHO A MANO and the exhibition “Contemporary Spanish Craft Work”

Traditional craft workis also back this year in the HECHO A MANO area at INTERGIFT, along with the innovative designs of the #makers. Participation has already been confirmed by companies such as Babel Artesanía, Foc-Art, Icono Harris and Regal Ceramina Artesan.

The importance of craft work will be completed with the presentation of the “Contemporary Spanish Craft Work” exhibition, which will display the collection of pieces which were finalists at the National Craft Work Awards. The awards, which are promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism through the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI) and its Fundesarte professorship, are intended to boost the development of the sector's SMEs, to encourage design and their capacity to adapt to the market.

NEO

NEO, one of the established areas at INTERGIFT, will be in hall 7, where companies specialised in designer goods will be gathered, including Cromatica Regalos; Disseny Plus; Doiy&Friends; Fitaller/Vintum; Malevhic Garaje; MIM; Nanoblock; Norman Copenhagen; Paparajote Factory; Protocol; Versa; Umbra; Visqui Barcelona, and +D2

Activities at the Speaker Corner

Another focal point is the Speaker Corner, where a full programme of presentations, practical workshops and talks will be held to show professionals new tools and opportunities to drive their businesses forward. Some of the activities are already up and running: the Asociación Regalo Fama will be organising a “Practical Workshop on Creative Packing”; the presentation of success stories related to “Solutions for large spaces: tailored projects” and “Principal trends of contract decoration”, and other sessions devoted to “Refurbishment and adaptation of spaces for rural houses, tendencies and quality versus the number of metres to be refurbished”; “Choosing decorative elements: selection of furniture, use of fabrics, decoration with flower pots and glass”. There will also be a Sales Workshop with the title “The sales team: the company motor” and another on “Window Dressing & Trends”.

The Official School of Decorators and Interior Designers of Madrid, CODDIM, will deal with different areas of planning and performance in interior design projects.

Furthermore, the UCM-Nuevo Estilo Higher University Interior Design Course will be giving different workshops on window dressing, the latest trends in decoration and how to decorate a decoration shop; how to decorate small spaces, and how to change the style of your home.

The activities of the Speaker Corner will be completed with the intervention of a specialised blogger who will give a talk on “Trends in Decoration”, and with a special session aimed at kiosks on Sunday 13 September organised by INTERGIFT and COMET with the title “Kiosks and new opportunities”, which will deal with the new business opportunities provided by the latest legislative changes affecting this activity and which, among other topics, include the expansion of the range of products that can be marketed in these kinds of establishments.

INTERGIFT will be held alongside the BISUTEX and MadridJoya exhibitions and, for the second year running, Momad Metrópolis, forming a complete commercial and business event which for five days will make Madrid the international epicentre of fashion and trends, and an important focus of professional attention.
