A strategic re-organization of the temporary exhibits at Gift + Home at Las Vegas Market will create ten distinct, themed product sections beginning with the Winter 2013 edition, January 28-February 1, at World Market Center Las Vegas. Designed to facilitate the buyers’ shopping and sourcing experience, the market's first such categorization will feature: GIFT, GLOBAL, GOURMET, HOME, MADE, STYLE, TEXTILES, TREND, VINTAGE and CARRY!.

This new categorization of the Gift + Home temporary exhibits is another component of the market's overall reorganization strategy and will position Las Vegas as the industry's premier Western US marketplace,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift + Home Décor, International Market Centers.

With this change, Gift + Home at Winter Las Vegas Market will dedicate two floors of World Market Center's Building C - C4 and C5 - to curated collections of temporary exhibitors. In addition to creating concentrations of related products in key existing categories, the sectionalizing also allows for the introduction of several categories new to Las Vegas Market. The ten sections are:

GIFT - Traditional and specialty giftware; including garden, plush, toy, seasonal, decorative gifts, spa, souvenir, inspirational, resort specialty, jewelry, accessories, and apparel.

GLOBAL - Uniquely designed products from around the world with an emphasis on fairly traded products, social responsibility and global community development.

GOURMET - A full range of specialty foods, cookware, and kitchen accessories.

HOME - Home products across all categories and price points, including accent décor, accent furniture, and other decorative items.

MADE - Artisanal, designer/maker products from the United States and Canada, including ceramics, pottery, home décor, letterpress, apparel, and jewelry.

STYLE - A juried collection of progressive and design-focused home décor, accent furniture, and textiles.

TEXTILES - Trend-focused textiles for the home, including decorative pillows, throws, drapery, fabric and bedding.

TREND - Fashion-forward products showcasing innovation, whimsy, or humor in multiple categories, including stationery, home accessories and lifestyle décor products.

VINTAGE - Unique, repurposed and recycled home décor, furnishings, jewelry, clothing and one of a kind memorabilia appropriate for display or resale, and available for immediate delivery.

CARRY! - “Cash and carry” merchandise across all product categories, offered to retailers as quick turn resources at market.

These new categories will benefit buyers, offering a more streamlined, easy-to-shop experience,” said Pam Williams, director of tradeshows for International Market Centers. “The show floors will be much easier for buyers to navigate, and the introduction of new categories such as MADE and GLOBAL will further differentiate Gift + Home at Las Vegas Market.

A new landing page - www.giftandhomelv.com/temporaryexhibits - has been developed with leasing information for the gift and home temporary exhibits. Through this page, potential exhibitors can access exhibitor applications and sales contacts, as well as links to general market and travel/hotel information.
