FMC China 2013 reached a new high!. 790 exhibitors and 33.834 trade buyers

The 19th Furniture Manufacturing & Supply China (FMC China 2013) successfully concluded on September 14, 2013 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC), concurrently with ‘FMC Premium 2013’. The total area of FMC China 2013 was 59,000 sqm with 790 exhibitors from over 43 countries and regions such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Belgium, France, Germany, India, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Sweden, USA, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico and the Netherlands. 33,834 trade buyers from 82 countries and regions visited FMC China 2013 this year.

The exhibits included Woodworking Machinery & Tools, Coating Equipment, CNC Machinery, Upholstery Machinery, Office Furniture Supplies & Gas Spring, Furniture Coatings, Adhesives & Chemical Products, Furniture Hardware & Cabinet & Wardrobe Fittings, Furniture Inspection, Design & Services, Furniture Panels & Surface Decor, Furniture Fabric & Leather and Upholstery Furniture Components & Supplies.

Seven Groups and Associations shared their new technologies and products onsite. These were: the States of North Carolina Pavilion, the American Hardwood Export Council, the Swedish Trade & Investment Council, the French Timber Industry Association, the Taiwan Woodworking Machinery Association (TWMA), the Yuhang Home Textile Pavilion, and the Asian International Furniture Material Trading Center (AIFM).

With the help of FMC's worldwide agents, the organizer invited five overseas buyer groups and nearly 300 trade buyers from Mexico, Korea, Vietnam, India, and Indonesia.

FMC China 2013 attracted 33,834 trade buyers, including 28,812 local visitors and 5,022 overseas buyers. In total, 43.3% came from Asian countries, 17.1% from Europe, 14.3% from South America, 11.6% from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, 5% from North America, 4.6% from Oceania, and 2.3% from Africa. The Top 20 best represented countries/regions for international visitors were Malaysia, the United States, Taiwan, Korea, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, Japan, Russia, Mexico, Singapore, Brazil, Germany, Vietnam, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Canada and Spain.

Moreover, 22,976 visitors belonging to decision-maker levels attended ‘FMC Premium 2013’, a show for high-end suppliers of Furniture Components and Raw Materials.

The organizer held 40 professional conferences and showcases, and invited more than 60 authorities in the furniture industry to give a speech onsite. Some of the conferences were the 2013 China Furniture Manufacturing Conference and the First Leading Brand Collection, Shanghai Timber Association Conference, The Application of Powder Coating in Furniture Artificial Board Area, 2nd Coordinated Innovation Forum on Furniture Manufacturing, Inspired by Changed: the Mobility of Office Furniture Trend, How to Connect Product to the Present Trends and Green Furniture Coating Development Forum, which delivered the latest industry information to exhibitors and visitors.

With the joint efforts of exhibitors and visitors, and nearly 100 domestic and overseas media support and publicity agencies, FMC has strengthened its foundations as it moves toward becoming an independent and professional furniture manufacturing and woodworking exhibition.

Outlook of FMC China 2014

FMC China 2014 will be held from September 10-13, 2014 in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC).

FMC China 2014 will be divided into even more exhibit areas and extend to include more industry-related products, while aiming to provide the best in woodworking machinery and furniture raw materials for furniture production, decoration and the engineering fields.
