So much that is new, enthusiasm, and the desire to improve constantly, always to offer the best. The growing quality levels and the hunt for a design that generates new ways of living and working were the key themes enlivening the 39th edition of CIFF, the success of which has also been confirmed by the increased visitor numbers: up 13.7%.

Not only is this the world's largest furniture exhibition, it is also a tangible business platform where you can get to know, decodify and check out the potential offered by the world's largest furniture market.

Quite apart from the numbers, which are in any case impressive, 3,992 exhibitors attracting 191,950 visitors from all over the world, 13.7% more than the 2016 edition, the truly surprising aspect was the new collaboration initiatives that are started up at every edition of the fair, demonstrating the desire to provide much more than a simple exhibition.

In fact, and today more than ever, CIFF sees itself as a constantly developing reality, committed to looking for new business opportunities for its exhibitors. And in this way significant enterprises are created, such as the new collaboration agreements with TMall, the B2B e-commerce platform of Alibaba, the matchless leader in Chinese electronics sales for medium-sized and large companies. The 39th edition of CIFF celebrated the debut of “The CIFF & Tmall Deco Fashion”, the unprecedented collaboration, “Internet +”, used to launch hundreds of new products, online and offline at the same time: a significant moment, in which real and virtual, bound together in close synergy, worked together to produce the best possible results.

The fair also witnessed the announcement of the inauguration of the “Pinnacle Awards Asia-Pacific”, thanks to the collaboration between CIFF and American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD); a fundamental driver by means of which Chinese design will be able to exploit new opportunities to gain recognition, and which will help “Made in China” to align itself with the best international standards.

Without forgetting the first edition of the China Interiors & Decorations Conference, or events like the Global Garden Lifestyle Festival, Design in China (Guangzhou), the Guangzhou Design Lecture, the Office Environment Pavilion, the 8th Global Office Furniture Outlook and the first seminar of BIFMA Safe and Healthy American office furniture standard around the world which, in perfect synergy, have interpreted the trends in the sector and provided visitors and exhibitors with significant contributions.

CIFF interprets the mirror of a world that is developing and of a market that is becoming increasingly more mature and ready to welcome products that are new and able to improve quality of life, in line with recent indications from the Chinese Government itself, during the opening ceremony reported by Mr. Zhu Changling, President of the China National Furniture Association and President of the Council of Asia Pacific Furniture Association. And it was particularly evident how those exhibitors that propose increasingly high quality levels in their products, investing heavily in their designs and presentations, were clearly rewarded by the interest expressed by purchasers, both Chinese and international.

CIFF Guangzhou, as always divided into two phases in order to meet the demands of the incredibly high exhibitor number requests, and in order to respond to the needs of the entire furniture sector, has taken the theme of Better Life, Better Work.

More specifically, the first phase (from 18 to 21 March) witnessed the presentation of products for Home Furniture under the theme of “Quality Home, Quality Life”; in the sector dedicated to Outdoor and Leisure Furniture visitors were invited to “Slow down and Enjoy the Sun”; while the Homedecor and Hometextile sector presented the concept “A World of Decor, A World of Fashion”.

In the second phase of CIFF (from 28 to 31 March), the Office Furniture area particularly developed the “Smart Office and Green Workplace” trend. The Medical & Healthcare Furniture and Public Furniture sectors managed to meet the growing market demand.

CIFM/interzum guangzhou proposed “The Ultimate Furniture Manufacturing Solution” in order to provide all furniture production solutions.

The focus now moves on to the 40th edition of CIFF which, from 11 to 14 September 2017, will give new energy to the furniture sector, in the splendid and international Shanghai Honqiao setting
