Northern Lighting presents the re-launch of a classic Norwegian design lamp series dating backto 1952; Birdy. This new can be seen shortly at Maison&Objet show in Paris and at the Designjunction, during the London Design Festival.

This beloved modernist lamp series designed by Birger Dahl (Oslo, Norway) has been a favourite Norwegian collector's item for many years. After its original launch and as part of the post-war so-called “democratic design wave” from Scandinavia, the lamp reached early high standing as a relatively inexpensive, yet highly functional, and esthetically appealing light piece for the masses.

The Northern Lighting team share in the deep affections for this lamp and its characteristics and have therefore decided to make it come back, re-launching the following three models of the Birdy series: a table lamp, a wall lamp and a floor reading lamp.

The Birdy lamp series is one of several novelties that Northern Lighting will be presenting during the Maison & Objet Autum fair 2013 in Paris, and the Designjunction in September 2013 in London during the London Design Festival.
