With the notion of reducing the office to a laptop, Typeform has been designed to have the freedom of choosing where to work, whether at the table, discussing in the agora or having a beer at the bar-reception. In Typeform it is eaten comfortably, it is worked in multiple formats and spaces are merged with working rooms adapting to concrete profiles. A project by Lagranja that explains how they carried out.

The startup launched by Robert and David, Typeform, was experiencing such a rapid growth that it needed to be relocated in a brand new head office. The Barcelona-based space ought to be, especially, huge. However, the Poblenou's 2000 m2 venue they chose, owning multiple level ramps, a sensational terrace and large skylights, was too confined. Clashing with its structural conditions, Typeform's DNA had to be strongly considered, then they definitely don’t embody what you would call a conventional company. They actually are a great multicultural and talented family, and as such they needed a comfortable space that met the requirements of a small community.

In order to convey the personality and attitude of the start up's manpower, at the entrance a barreception with beer taps and food has been designed. Since the traditional reception would have been out of date in a company where telephones don’t even exist, it has been converted in a place where to have breakfast early in the morning, have a beer before leaving, gather spontaneously or keep clients waiting. Surrounded by plants and curtains, it advances the core idea amplified in its interiors. Kamal Meattle from New Delhi, pointed out that the combination in interior spaces of Areca Palm, Mother-in-law's Tongo and Money Plant, among others, is enormously positive for our health, because of its fresh air contribution to indoor areas. We like this concept, to such extent that one can actually find shelves everywhere holding 810 happiness-generator plants and there's even job for an official gardener.

At the other end of the entrance, we’ll find the three-first meeting rooms: green, yellow and blue, ranked by colours to easily distinguish them when arranging reunions. The rest of the space has been distributed around a vegetation boulevard. A distinct corner where to chill or keep working, surrounded by Lagranja Collection furniture: an eclectic mix of poufs, armchairs and low tables. Under the floorboards, where there used to be ramps, three hammocks have been hung to definitely disconnect from the bustle.

The left hall, is characterised by a great table under a plant frame from which the new orbital lamps dangle, specially designed by lagranja for this space. The right-hand working hall is the widest of Typeform, in being so, it hosts the biggest lamp ever designed by lagranja, measuring 18 meter-long. Five tables vertically disposed have been placed under it. The pine wood together with the coloured light blue walls help to build a sense of space and adds light to spaces where a lot of working hours are spent.

Three semicircular grandstand levels covered with pine wood provide room to do presentations, gather and share the ongoing projects. In an environment where synergies are that important, it was essential to rethink the auditorium's concept and to encourage participation by means of space design. In order to provide welfare to the team, an open kitchen has also been designed behind the agora. Here, they can eat together in wide wooden tables, or stand in high trunk-leg tables. Hanging over the biggest one a unique lamp conceived and designed by lagranja symbolises the start-up basis: a big cloud made of multiple spheres and an electric circuit that illuminates them from the inside.

The space has been separated in modules by means of curtains, that work also as screens and light diffusers. The wooden table lamps Pax help to create a domestic atmosphere. The site is completed by the side area where a number of giant plant pots distinguish the high tables surrounded by digital screens and crystals pals where to work standing. Just behind this final room, an isolated and calmer area to do Skype talks has been habilitated.
