With the countdown to Cersaie 2020 now under way, the show is preparing to make two major changes. The first is an overall increase in exhibition space, allowing for a more rational floor layout and greater attention to the bathroom furnishing sector. The second is a significant step forward in the Open Cersaie concept, the new exhibition format launched last year.

Following the construction of the new hall 37, the largest covered space in the entire exhibition centre due to be inaugurated for Cersaie 2020, the space available at the show will be increased to 180,000 square metres, almost 20,000 square metres more than last year. This significant increase in space will meet the growing demands of exhibitor companies. Following the opening of halls 28, 29 and 30 at Cersaie 2018, the construction of this new hall marks the second important step in the exhibition centre redevelopment project with further work on halls and common areas due to be completed in 2024.

The opening of the new hall 37 will provide an opportunity to reorganise the exhibition spaces in general to ensure that areas with the same product categories are closer together and to improve the functionality of the exhibition centre as a whole. In particular, the bathroom furniture companies will occupy a central position at Cersaie in the five halls 21, 22, 28, 29 and 30, surrounded by producers of ceramic tiles, non-ceramic surfaces, installation and showroom materials and glaze and colour producers.

There will be two other important changes. First, more than 41,000 square metres of floor space will be assigned to the bathroom furnishing companies, which means that the sector will occupy more than a quarter of the entire exhibition floor. Secondly, halls 22 and 30 will bring together a variety of different sectors - ceramic tiles, bathroom furnishings and other surfaces - in keeping with the stimulating new Open Cersaie exhibition concept.

Cersaie 2020 will be held in Bolonia from 28 September to 2 October
