Unopiù presents the new HUGO collection designed by Jamie Durie in its new 2018 Catalog

Unopiù presents the new HUGO collection designed by Jamie Durie in its new 2018 Catalog

2018-02-05

In order to celebrate the forty years of existence of the company, Unopiù presents its new 2018 Catalog, which brings together both the company’s star products – like the Amanda hammock – as well as new products, innovative materials and trend ideas.

To commemorate this important anniversary of creativity, it offers endless suggestions to decorate or transform the spaces in which we live, presenting original accessories and vibrant colors that manage to create suggestive atmospheres, and furniture characterized by important peculiarities. In fact, the character and the care in every detail of some tables, among which Indobrittan stands out, are made palpable in the exclusive Deruta and Ravello, as well as in the functional Passage.

The comfort and personality of the seats is at its highest in the new Hugo or Manhattan armchairs. The refinement of an innovative material in rope is manifested in Sunlace and the new version of Capri. Undoubtedly, for forty years, Unopiù has been the expression of a lifestyle, a way of reinterpreting outdoor spaces, classic or modern, without forgetting its deepest essence. And all of this is thanks to those who choose high quality decoration elements for the house or the garden. And thanks also to each and every one of the Unopiù professionals who, with knowledge and passion, face the challenges of contemporaneity.

HUGO, designed by Jamie Durie

Fruit of the clever combination of teak, stainless steel and high tech fabric, the Hugo collection satisfies both functional and esthetic needs, melding side tables with seating to create the illusion of a floating setting. The pleasing vintage flavour is inspired by the creations of American masters of design of the 50s. The seat cushions are particularly comfortable and have removable covers.

“In the Hugo collection I sought to create the illusion of a floating seat. Each piece of the collection seems almost to effortlessly float, suspended not only within its stainless steel structure, but also suspended in time. Because one of the inspirations for this colletion dates back to the early 50s and one of the masters of design, Milo Baughman. I have been a fan of Baughman’s work for years and the stylistic inheritance that he left to the world of interior design inspired me to transfer this type of luxury to the outdoors in a simple but sophisticted way.” Jamie Durie
