Solutions for everyone and every task. These are Actiu’s six new proposals for Orgatec 2018

Solutions for everyone and every task. These are Actiu’s six new proposals for Orgatec 2018

2018-10-22

The company Actiu, a leading international trade fair in the office furniture sector, will be attending the upcoming edition of Orgatec (Cologne, October 23 – 27) with six new furniture proposals for work and contract spaces that combine technological innovations with materials of the future and ergonomic design, while always focusing on the people, their wellbeing and the creation of workspaces that enhance talent and creativity.

Actiu presents the Karbon, a new international proposal and a challenge in terms of production, a chair designed by ITEM designworks that is made of carbon fibre. The highly-resistant carbon fibre is innovatively combined in this piece, which presents a unique, elegant and ingenious design, allowing for angles and silhouettes to be created from a 3D effect that captures light and produces a unique visual effect.

In addition, Actiu will also be showing the rest of its new proposals along with the Karbon, which include the Power and Talent tables, the Whass and Trim chairs, and the Noom soft seating system, all of which are products that have been designed to guarantee the health and creativity of each user and every team.

At stand B048 – C049 in Hall 9.1, you can learn about the Cool Working by Actiu methodology, a way of working that was developed hand in hand with the Biomechanics Institute ofValencia (IBV) to create environments that are as comfortable as they are efficient. To furnish spaces, this methodology takes into consideration the characteristics, activities and specific functions of each work style in its interaction with the environment. This comprehensive proposal of solutions also emerges as a result of Actiu’s fifty years of experience, with help from tools such as virtual reality and the new SmartFurniture Actiu Next application, which provide added value to decision-making processes and exponentially improve user experience.

Karbon, Actiu’s chair manufactured with the material of the future

Highly resistant, extremely light and with an avant-garde aesthetic. These are the qualities of carbon fibre, a material that has already made a dent in industries such as aerospace and Formula 1 and that now brings its innovating features to the furniture sector, with the help of Actiu and its ‘Karbon’ designed by Javier Cuñado of ITEMdesignworks.

Carbon fibre’s resistance is combined with an exclusive, elegant and clever design in an innovative way, allowing angles and silhouettes based on a 3D effect that captures light and generates an unique and exclusive visual effect and arouses new and unprecedented feelings in the user.

Noom, the chair that combines tailoring and 3D technology

Actiu launches Noom, a new soft seating range, based on a friendly and extremely versatile design, which manages to provide a comfortable and ergonomic solution for different contact spaces and workplaces. Areas that promote the exchange of ideas, formal and informal meetings and communication between team members and that require new furniture, capable of responding to the needs of all types of offices and contact spaces.

Noom combines artisanal upholstery with 3D pattern and stitching technologies that allow generating new sensations from a soft seating range that organically find their space in contact and work environments.

Talent, tables that create talent

Companies that look towards the future and whose work is based on sharing knowledge, need multi-purpose spaces that are tailored equally to the needs of the moment, to specific tasks and, especially, to the people who use them.

Talent, the new tables programme from ACTIU and designed by Alegre Design, tries to answer all the needs that come up in these spaces, in which the furniture is easily movable, quick to store, comfortable and easy to lift. The ideal solution to promote and ease communication, learning, and collaborative work.

Whass, the super-stackable chair for multi-purpose spaces

Whass, the new chair by Javier Cuñado from ITEM Designworks for Actiu is a super- stackable, multi-purpose and functional chair program intended for collaborative and training spaces, which require versatile and easily storable equipment.

With natural aesthetics, compact and sinuous lines, the structure of the Whass has been designed and manufactured for intensive use in flexible spaces. A multifunctional, lightweight and easy to move product that can be stacked easily on a cart with up to 30 units from a monoblock carcass.  It can therefore be stored in the minimum possible space, a feature that makes it an ideal choice for conference halls and multi-purpose spaces.

Trim, an operative and adjustable chair for all ages

TRIM, Actiu’s new operative chair designed by Alegre Design, was created to take care of people, enhancing well-being and health as well as providing high-performance lower back support. This chair offers many customizing options and features with an adjustable backrest, which enhances comfort, and high technical specifications that are combined with very competitive prices.

Power, the table that combines comfort and technology for healthier work

Designed by Javier Cuñado from ITEM Designworks, Power is the logical evolution of the adjustable table which combines design and technology. Its design is based on a central, extruded aluminium column which serves as the base and structure and provides great mobility in the work space, as well as integrating technology and facilitating digital communication.
