Pigro, the collection by Pastina for Missana, allows you to create multiple combinations with its metal frame and bold volumes

Pigro, the collection by Pastina for Missana, allows you to create multiple combinations with its metal frame and bold volumes

2018-10-11

The Pigro sofa and armchair created by the Italian Studio Pastina for Spanish company Missana, have been designed emphasizing its threedifferentiated parts: a metal frame, a seat and a backrest.

This unique combination of the metal frame and the cushions of the Pigro collection quietly recalls the 1920’s modern design classics with a contemporary aesthetics.

Its essential yet effective simplicity gives the opportunity to play with Pigro’s appearance and to define the look of the piece through multiple combinations of colors and textures.

Like a chameleon that changes its colour, Pigro is extremely versatile and able to naturally integrate in many decorative styles and environments.

The Pigro collection has the allure of comfort and coziness. Its soft and curvy cushions invite you to seat and relax.

For the pictures, the Pigro collection has been upholstered in a stripy fabric by Equipo Drt and in an eye-catching red by Febrik. A texture and color choice that highlights its modern inspiration and chameleonic appearance.

STUDIO PASTINA
Domenico Santoro y Francesca Puddu both earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design in 2006 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 2009. After many collaborations with renowned architecture and design firms, they found Studio Pastina in 2012.

Studio Pastina collaborates with brands, private clients and galleries, always applying a personal design vision and working on a wide range of projects, involving product and furniture design, interiors and art direction. In 2013 they started their own collection of objects and small furniture, produced in small series and named Italian Goodies Collection.

Pastina has been selected to exhibit at Salone Satellite in 2017 and for Ambiente Young Talents Design Award in 2016. Works by Studio Pastina have been exhibited at Salone del Mobile, Ambiente, La Biennale di Venezia and many other design events and they are regularly published on the most important international design magazines.
