It is the light, innovative materials that define the simple but elegant forms of Appia, ergonomic collection of chairs and armchairs, named after the famous sedan Lancia began producing in ’53, sharing the same curvaceous design and innovative use of materials such as aluminium in the frame, a detail that makes the chair comparably lightweight without compromising its stability.

The seat and backrest are available in mass-coloured photo-engraved polypropylene, in natural, white or black oak plywood or with non-removable coverings of various materials.

Christoph Jenni was born in 1976 in Rio de Janeiro with Swiss parents. After moving to Switzerland, he studied industrial design at FHNW in Aarau. Until 2010, he was a furniture designer at Studio Hannes Wettstein in Zürich, before opening his own studio in Aarau. Christoph describes his work as a synthesis of his Brazilian heritage and Swiss education, combined with the acribic an formally calm experience he made while working for Hannes Wettstein.
