Omelette introduces in Orgatec its first collaborative collection for the home, Mediterranean Reflections

The Spanish company has worked alongside various designers to present their products: Isaac Piñero, Iratzoki-Lizaso and La Mamba. Mediterranean Reflections are on show at Orgatec in Hall 10.1 Stand D019

The Valencian company Omelette has created its first collaborative collection for the home. Three pieces created by different design studios that share a common philosophy: sustainability, timelessness and simplicity in the objects proposed.

A table, a chair and a sofa comprise this first collection crafted by three studios: Iratzoki-Lizaso, Isaac Piñeiro and La Mamba. They are designers from the same generation who have a shared view of the world and propose similar solutions.

The Mediterranean Reflections collection is not a set. Each piece follows its own line of design, but their common features create a link between them, allowing them to sit well together. Like different members of the same family.

The aim of Omelette is to create a universe of numerous products that interact among themselves without necessarily forming a corpus or set. These pieces are connected by a philosophy; by a concept rather than a style. It is a coexistence created through small details, like a winking which we see ourselves reflected.

Structures are the star of this collection, in which each piece is designed independently by a different creative team, with the emphasis on the base and structure, and from there on each piece become sits own. Simplicity is not incompatible with colour in these pieces, although sobriety is key. Carefully selected colours such as grey, green and maroon are the designers’ bid to avoid falling into excess.

This collection has led Omelette to move into the sector of home furniture and consolidate it ssuccess in side furniture. These are timeless pieces, classics from the moment they were designed, whose details ender them unique.

Terra Collection, designed by Isaac Piñeiro

Isaac Piñeiro was responsible for designing the Terra collection. It is a simple collection yet full of character, whose details define its overall look and highlight the craftsmanship of the wood- and metal work, in combination with the industrial process of wood bending. The straightness of its structure contrasts with the soft curves of the seat and backrest. The collection has been designed both for domestic interiors and contract spaces that are looking for quality in form and materials. To provide more options, Isaac Piñeiro has dressed it with fabrics that accompany the different wood finishes.

Lasso, the table Caught by a lasso, by Iratzoki-Lizaso

The Basque-French studio Iratzoki-Lizaso, for its part, was responsible for designing the largest piece - the Lasso Table. The table speaks the same language as all the other Omelette-Ed products, with a touch of humour that inspires endearment.

For the studio it was important for the table to be detachable yet at the same time rigid and resistent. The result of this product can be purchased in various sizes, making it perfect for any space. From a small dining room table to an extensive table for large celebrations, and even a conference table, with its longest length of 2.5 metres.

Must: the deconstructed sofa by La Mamba

Finally, the Must sofa is the last contribution to the collection for Omelette-Ed and is byLa Mamba. It consists of two important elements: on the one hand, a tubular oval structure that forms the base, and then an upholstered, wooden framework that acts as a container for the cushions, providing comfort when you are going to sit down.

Until October 27, you can see Mediterranean Reflections by Omelette-Ed in Orgatec (Cologne, Germany) at their own stand: Hall 10.1 Stand D019
