News of Pedrali designed by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo at imm cologne 2016

Pedrali is back in Cologne for the IMM, the first international exhibition of the year for furnishings that takes place from 18 to 24 January. The Italian furniture company can be found in Pure Editions (Hall 3.2 Stand F039), the section dedicated to premium brands in international design.

The installation Pedrali Stars by Migliore+Servetto Architects transforms the exhibition space into a series of sets for photo shoots. The products gracefully arranged on completely white backdrops, appear as the subjects of different frames, outlined by high and light transparent frames that guide the visitor in their discovery of the world of Pedrali, providing information on the different families and types of products. An area of transparency and intersecting perspectives, placing the focus on the products in an intimate and welcoming context. “We decided to attend the IMM exhibition again because we considered the direction taken by the organization over the last years to be not only an interesting reflection on the themes of living but also as an overview of products and an opportunity of discussion among the professionals of the sector - says Monica Pedrali, CEO, Sales and Marketing Director of Pedrali SpA. It is an approach in line with what we pursue every day in our work: we consult and discuss with the architects and the industrial designers on how to create furniture which takes care of the persons who live and move within the public spaces, the offices and the homes”.

The very latest products are represented by the Nolita Lounge armchair and the Nemea chair and armchair finished in ash with upholstered seating.

The Nemea collection will also be showcased in an acrobatic performance in the installation Nemea Circus created by Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo within the Featured Editions format, organized by Stylepark. Suspended with the armrests on the trapeze, the armchair hovers in the air in a circus-like atmosphere, while the chair standing on the stage looks on in awe at the acrobatics. A static simulation where the trapezium is immobile and supported by rigid steel cables.

The Nolita collection's sunny disposition shines through with the introduction of the new lounge chair, designed for times of pure relaxation outdoors. Stackable and easy to move around, it is ideal for creating environments for conversation and relaxing with its airy and light appearance. Similarly to the entire Nolita collection, the lounge chair is made of steel for maximum durability and reliability. A seat cushion is available as an accessory.

The Nemea collection adds even greater well-being to the comfort of the seats with new upholstered versions. The ergonomic seat is available with a soft fabric or leather finish which, combined with the ash, creates a warm welcoming effect.
