Designed by Ramos&Bassols for Actiu, Longo allows from a single module to form a comprehensive collection of furniture for all types of solutions in contract and office. It was awarded the Gold award “The Best of Neocon” in the category “Lounge Furniture Collections”.

The versatility of Longo, its ability to mold and be flexible, as well as its character to merge soft seating with the office have been key to award this program by Actiu designed by Ramos & Bassols as the most outstanding at the NeoCon fair in Chicago for waiting and contract spaces.

NeoCon is the largest fair from the furniture, decoration and interior design market in the USA. At this fair, which took place in Chicago on 13, 14 and 15 June, professionals gathered together from across the continent, interested in learning about the latest trends in Contract, Health, Public Works, Office or Facility furniture. More than 50,000 professionals came together at this exhibition which brought together 500 companies from around the world and has been taking place for nearly fifty years.

In this context, Longo obtained the Gold award “The Best of Neocon” in the category of “Lounge Furniture Collections”. The jury, formed by architects, designers, companies and members of the North American government, awarded Longo for the excellence of its design and productive solutions it offers.

Longo is a modular system designed by Ramos & Bassols which fuses soft seating with the office, with the aim of turning environments into more friendly, open and relaxed work spaces, where formal structures and lightheartedness feed each other to create a harmonious environment, which facilitates innovation and creativity.

Its design allows, through a robust platform structure but with a light appearance, an extensive branch of modules to arise which dress a space, creating structures such as office desks, sofas, storage spaces or hints of vegetation“, explains Jordi Bassols , designer of Longo along with David Ramos. “All the while maintaining the same visual consistency, the same style and finish, allowing one to furnish spaces with a consistent and similar taste,” he says.

Receiving this new award is without doubt one of the great joys of 2016, a year filled with awards thanks to our work for Actiu. Our Wing chair won two of the most prestigious awards in Europe, the iF Design and the Red Dot. Now, the recognition is coming in from the American continent which considers Longo the best soft seating product on a market which moves hundreds of millions of dollars and at the largest trade show in the industry. Undoubtedly, a recognition that comes, in part, for the work of internationalisation, communication and dissemination which is carried out from Actiu“concluded David Ramos.
