The international jury for the prestigious red dot award allocated two prizes to Bonaldo company, awarding the Welded table designed by Alain Gilles the “red dot: best of the best” among the best design projects in the Product Design (Living Room and Bedroom) category, and the Still table by Bartoli Design the “red dot” award for its high level of design.

Welded - Alain Gilles

The products were picked by a jury of 37 international experts who tested, examined and assessed 4,662 products originating from 54 different countries across the world. The red dot awards 2013 are added to a long and prestigious list of acknowledgements bestowed upon Bonaldo products, which have collected a generous 19 awards.

The Welded table - project by Alain Gilles - was launched in April 2012. Its name recalls the welding process and alludes to the main features of this new product: essential appeal, practicality, clean-cut lines with a male design free of any superfluous decorations. The idea for Welded springs from research into “New Simplicity” understood in this case as the reduced use of materials and the utmost simplification of all processing phases. The legs, which distinguish the table and give it an almost architectural appeal, are made of steel: the parts used to make them are obtained from laser-cut sheet steel, and they are then welded together. The rectangular top is available in wood, in glass or in matt white Carrara marble.

Still - Bartoli Design

Still, presented at the Salone del Mobile 2012 and awarded the same year with the Good Design Award, is a collection of six tables designed by Bartoli Design. A simple and essential design teamed with an appealing texture: the tapered legs support and penetrate the wooden table top, remaining just visible on the surface. The material emphasises the design, reawakening touch and sight: the table top, available in lacquered white or marked by the natural grain of solid walnut wood, makes a pleasant contrast to the circular top of the natural cement legs.

In a space located at Hall 5, Stand F09-G06, Italian Brand Bonaldo will be exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile in Milan the new collections designed by Bartoli Design, Alain Gilles, Ryosuke Fukusada, Jarrod Lim and many others... Further info HERE.
