The company Capdell presents at Orgatec, from 23 to 27 October, new designer furniture collections to suit the latest trends for workspaces, which increasingly require communal areas conducive to communication, the exchange of ideas and creativity. The Droplets stalls reflect the shape of drops of water and they are the latest addition to the Capdell catalogue.

These new benches, designed by the Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects, stem from the observation of how surface tension creates drops of water on a flat surface. The result is a friendly-looking design that can coexist with any kind of architecture, because the organic shapes are in fact inspired by nature itself.

Eight pieces with organic shapes like drops of water, that can be used in multiple and unique spaces, as they look different when turned around.

Designers Claesson Koivisto Rune (Stockholm, Sweden) were inspired by the behaviour of water. They photographed it, looked at the pictures, chose the best ones, scanned them, and then made 3-D computer models, resulting in eight different shapes that can all be combined with each other, in any configuration.

Versatile and diverse pieces, from the smallest at 50 cm to the largest which is 150 cm with all sizes in between, the main structure is based on 15 mm birch plywood, providing strength to the piece, covered with two different foams to make it comfortable.

It is easy to create unique compositions adapted to any kind of architecture using one, three, five, eight or as many pieces as necessary.

The Droplets collection can be used in almost any variation in many different furnishing situations, including offices, schools, hotels, clubs, bars, museums, galleries, waiting areas, shops, showrooms, travel terminals, working areas, etc.

Its friendly and fresh design preserves, even so, the rigour, effectiveness and functionality which defines Capdell products.

Capdell shows its latest collections, which include the line of stalls, Droplets by Claesson Koivisto Rune, a new version of the Libris programme, the Libris S table by Vicent Martínez, the INSULA integrated system and the NIX chair by Patrick Norguet and the Marta chair by Gabriel Teixidó, on stand C038 in Hall 10.1 of the fair in Cologne (Germany).
