Discover Solanas, the collection designed by Daniel Germani for Gandiablasco with the innovative Dekton® by Cosentino surface

SOLANAS is the new GANDIABLASCO collection being presented at the Salone del Mobile, Milan 2018, born from the aesthetic sensibility and passion for the outdoors of Argentinean architect and designer Daniel Germani.

This line of outdoor furniture represents an homage to SOLANAS, a beach located in Uruguay, where Daniel Germani used to spend his summers. A paradise with never-ending sunsets and beaches that disappear into the horizon. Daniel Germani also pays homage to his father, a man who was always ready to open the doors of his home to friends and family. Just as talented a chef as a host, this engineer by training with an extraordinary aesthetic sensibility, designed the outside space of his house in Solanas to accommodate his numerous guests and for the enjoyment of his three passions: nature, family and gastronomy.

Every detail in SOLANAS's design is conceived to reflect the communicative character and passion of his father, which he made evident at seven in the afternoon, when true to his ritual, he would sit down with his loved ones and share stories and laughters. Daniel Germani wanted to reflect in the collection this loving approach to life by using softer forms in the design with rounded edges, pieces that embrace you and with which to create intimate spaces.

The collection is the result of a recent agreement between GANDIABLASCO and Dekton® by Cosentino with Daniel Germani Designs to develop innovative outdoor furniture collections. Modular collections that, because of their modular nature, allow different zones to be created depending on their composition.

SOLANAS is made using highly resistant outdoor materials with finishes and fabrics that are resilient to extreme climate conditions. It combines extruded aluminium profiles with the introduction of an innovative ultra-compact surface, Dekton® by Cosentino.

Dekton® is a revolutionary surface that requires very little maintenance that is also long lasting that mixes raw materials used in the manufacture of glass, state-of-the-art porcelain tiles and quartzite surfaces. It's made using Sintering Particle Technology (TSP) that involves an ultra-compaction process developed exclusively by Cosentino's I+D department. It possesses superior properties: resistance to UV rays (retaining its original colour), to scratches, stains and thermal shock, and absorbs very little water. The aluminium structure is available in different tones of grey, blue, green and orange combined with several finishes from the different Dekton® collections:

The Dekton® Solid Collection: A range of unvarying block colours for homogenenous and uniform designs:

Ventus, in grey tones, and Galema in ochres, sober colours that attract attention. The Zenith matt white and ultra-compact surface, with a totally homogenous and ultra fine granule.

Domoos, matte polished surface with a subtle feel thanks to the ultra-fine granules of its surface. Representing the deep black of the Dekton® range.

The Dekton® Natural Collection: The Natural series reflects Cosentino's affinity with emulating nature. Where the veins running through natural stone are delicately traced.

Sirocco, with its rugged texture and grey limestone colour that gives it a totally natural look. Aura, with its smooth white background, interspersed with a pattern of sharp and animated veins that recreate natural rock formations.

The Dekton® Industrial collection: A collection inspired by more urban trends, iron and concrete beams as well as bricks are celebrated here rather than being disguised.

Radium, represents a panel of rusted and acid distressed steel, offering a look that perfectly combines the warm expressive qualities of oranges and browns together with cooler tones of blue and greenish shades. Radium is made using 80% recycled material sourced from the very same production process.
