Wood, Iron and bricks, protagonists of the El Almacen Restaurant, designed by Piedra Papel Tijera

2016-05-26

The Piedra Papel Tijera studio designed El Almacen,  a restaurant that grows up from the idea of two friends with experience in the world of restoration who want to offer to its clients a different concept of food.

ALMACEN 14Thus the Studio explains its interior design and decoration project,

El Almacen is a restaurant with a concept of food based on platos y platillos (convencional and tiny dishes). Its dishes pretend to innovate with new and surprising recipes and contains the perfect amount of food which lets you try different plates. In the Kitchen, Gabriel Ciscar cooks seasonal dishes which change often.

ALMACEN 02ALMACEN 01Making reference to interior design, we wanted to enjoy the space without smother it. We stripped the old pizzeria and discovered a beautiful brick walls that let us create a restaurant with an warehouse atmosphere where the light plays a key role and full of custom-designed lamps.

ALMACEN 03ALMACEN 15ALMACEN 04ALMACEN 18ALMACEN 11We’ve mixed custom-designed benches, made with green, blue and grey upholstery, with MUUTO and HAY chairs. The oak wood plays once again a key role and invades the floor, the walls and the tables. Iron also takes an important part with metal reinforcements on the pillars and decorative shelves on the walls.
