Friuli Venezia Giulia airport (Italy) has decided to place AERO Bench, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina for Spanish company Sellex, as the seating equipment in the passenger terminal.

Two different versions of AERO bench have been requested:

  • AERO Bench in aluminium
  • AERO Bench with polyurethane pads

This restoration is part of an ambitious proyect including a railway station to connect Trieste and Venice and a bus station too. The whole job will have an investment of 39 million euros and will mean more comfort for the user.

The new terminal has thoroughly been restyled and is now more spacious and welcoming. An open architecture, soft colours, natural light and the election to have the iconic AERO Bench make the waiting more relaxing and comfortable. AERO Bench becomes, once more, the suitable seating for airports, passenger terminals and waiting areas whereas the aim is to combine ergonomics, design and quality.

Estimated passenger traffic in year 2020 is roundabout 1.000.000 people.
