On Tuesday 19th February, Hospec Operations has opened its doors until February22nd. The event will take place in Benidorm (Alicante) and following the formula of Hospec's face to face work, will gather purchasing managers with the more operational hotel industry providers (OSE + F&B) with the aim to do business in a more direct and effective manner.

Madison Events, a company specialized in organizing events with in the hospitality sector, launches Hospec Operations, a more operational version of products and materials for the equipment of the hotel industry, which will be introduced to hotel purchasing managers and hotel and catering large business groups, as well as Facility Services. The meeting is held from 19th to 22nd February at the iconic Hotel MeliáVillaitana Wellness Resort, in Benidorm (Alicante).

The work formula is the same and the usual of other previous Hospec gatherings, i.e. face to face meetings between the parties interested in doing business, direct and without intermediaries, where there will also be the opportunity to learn firsthand the latest news of each participant company. The international nature of the meeting has to be highlighted, with attendees from many different countries. Moreover, Hospec Operations includes in its program several conferences and networking activities, together with the possibility of enjoying free time in such an idyllic environment giving the opportunity to do business in a more relaxed and informal manner.

For the first time, at the request of the participants, Hospec has been divided into two events (it formerly encompassed the Purchasing Sector and Contract FF&E + OSE) in order to distinguish the two types of equipment that are part of different consignments in any hotel project. According to Juan Prados, Managing Director of Madison Events, “I think both have enough entity to have its own event, so the participating delegates can always be the interlocutors with the necessary attributions for each meeting.

The renovation of the establishments is crucial to increasing occupancy, and not only with regards to furniture, technology, etc., but also at food, beverage and services. According to Prados, “we must never be satisfied with our current offering, we need to investigate what can be improved and if it is possible to outsource some services to other sector specialist companies in order to improve our offering“.

This past November took place in Casablanca Hospec’12, which celebrated its fifth edition, it has become a recognized annual forum that brings together the highlights of the hotel industry in Europe and emerging markets like Africa, Middle East and UAE, among others. The objective was that all stakeholders-hoteliers, architects, interior designers, suppliers and equipment manufacturers- could meet and do business directly. The outcome was of great success and it was attended by nearly 150 professionals.
