The Attimo Restaurant in São Paulo (Brasil), desinged by Naoki Otake, has been awarded as “Best New Restaurant”at the Wallpaper Design Awards 2013.
The prestigious British magazine Wallpaper explain about Attimo,
Attimo is described by its owner Marcelo Fernandes as an Italo-caipira, or Italian/rustic Brazilian restaurant. By which he means that chef Jefferson Rueda serves both classic pasta dishes and local specialities such as coxinha de galinha.
Attimo is housed in a 1950s house by local architect David Libeskind, carefully restored by Fernandes’ long-time collaborator Naoki Otake. The architect preserved the building's signature cobogó (patterned partition) and used marble and hardwoods to craft a clean, sophisticated space. The interiors, together with Gilberto Elkis’ stunning landscaping and Rueda's flawlessly executed offering, make it one of the best new restaurants this year.
