The program includes lectures with architects from the two of the most influential studios in Architecture: Zaha Hadid Studio and Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, relax and prepare to experience a unique exploration into your 5 senses in Actiu London Showroom during 20th - 22nd May Clerkenwell Design Week.

Actiu, a Spanish company specialized in the creation of office furniture with a strong commitment to the environment, has prepared a series of activities intended to re-kindle and enhance your sens. Their purpose is to go beyond our rigid structured thinking and illustrate other Architecture, other Design concepts which are organic, dynamic, adaptable and flexible by nature. To illustrate this new thinking they are delighted to announce that they have 2 members from two of the most influential practices in this area Zaha Hadid Studio and Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners.

The five senses will be the focus on the Wednesday 21st May:

Through the sight, at 18.45h, the visitors will be able to interact with a Soft Modelling Java application after a presentation by Manuel Jimenez and Roberto Garcia. The application has been developed to address not only a specific Project, but also can cover the basic function of a digital design software as its code is open source and easy to manipulate in order to create multiple versions by using Processing as a framework. (The software combines both poly modelling and physical simulation, two of the most-used design Tools). Our Visitors will be given the opportunity to test the Software and produce a 3d printed version of their design at the venue.

Through the sight we have prepared a series of Lectures will be performed where renowned speakers will address topics relating to dynamic architectural models, adaptive systems and patterning experimentation for spatial development:
