Feria Hábitat Valencia has held a working meeting with the main national purchasing groups and commerce representatives from all the Spanish Autonomous Communities. They have made good use of this opportunity to learn firsthand about the objectives and novelties of the next trade fair edition and to offer their judgement of the sector's current status, as well as future strategies.

The attendance of firms like Círculo Mobiliario, Expomobi, Grup Valencia Moble, Intermobil, Home Design, Merkamueble, Promobil, El Corte Inglés or Spazzio Home, among others, meant that the representatives of these firms were able to offer their complete support to this trade fair by putting forward various proposals and solutions in accordance with their requirements.

The main objective is to attract all the national purchasing power and the most qualified overseas buyers. As José Blasco, Chair of this trade fair, stated “the national market must be present at the trade fair because we have the best offer. With new options such as the exhibition area for the National Design Awards, or the latest proposals of modern-upholstery-rest, classic, quality decoration and home textiles”. Indeed, according to Blasco, “our trade fair is long-standing, it is a reference and it is strong both nationally and internationally, and it is a shared meeting point where alliances with all the agents are visible: manufacturers, distributors and commerce”.

The director of the trade fair, Máximo Solaz, explained while the meeting was being held the new exhibition concept, whose intention is to facilitate visits to the trade fair by locating it completely in Feria Valencia new installations.

The other main novelty of this edition is that the trade fair is organized into exhibition projects, which consists in dividing the offer into segments, compiling each subsector's requirements and concerns, and working to meet these requirements.

As Solaz explains: “as part of this trade fair project, we aim to reassert that we are the first Spanish trade fair in the sector for the national market, but that we also offer our international character to bring these firms closer to foreign markets”.

All the leading commerce groups and representatives coincided in considering that it is fundamental to approach the trade fair to the end consumer, that it is where all the work is finally received, and that it is necessary to seek joint mechanisms to encourage the purchases of furniture and to undertake e-commerce actions that help small commerce management.
