The significance of the contract business continues to increase for suppliers of consumer goods. In the Living section, over 40 percent of companies do more than 30 percent of their business with commercial customers. And this is set to climb even higher with these suppliers from the Living section expecting a 20 percent increase in sales of consumer goods to commercial users over the next five years.[1]

Tendence from 29 August to 1 September presents bespoke offers and solutions for the contract business and is a must for interior-furnishing specialists, interior architects and decision makers from the hotel and restaurant industry in the second half of the year. “With its spectrum of products for the contract business, Tendence caters exactly for the special requirements of this target group whereby we offer buyers not only a wide choice of top exhibitors but also services tailored especially to their needs, which enables them to prepare efficiently and make their visit as effective as possible. After all, time is money, especially for this demanding group of buyers”, says Sabine Scharrer, Tendence Director for the Living section.

That the contract business is growing in significance for buyers is also shown by the latest addition to the renowned Home&Trend Awards for innovative, trend-oriented and sustainable products. This year, there will be a new award category - ‘hotel furnishings’ - to help professional buyers with regard to suitability in everyday hotel use, design and sustainability. The Home&Trend Awards round off the exhibitor programme of Tendence perfectly in terms of the contract business.

Over 80 specialised exhibitors present an attractive spectrum for furnishing hotels and restaurants at Tendence in Frankfurt am Main. Renowned companies such as Casablanca, DPI, Eurofashion homeconcepts, Fink, Guaxs, Haans Lifestyle BV, Lambert, Light & Living and Wohnmanufactur Grünberger make available their experience in the fields of furniture, home and decorative accessories for furnishing and equipping commercial premises. Exhibitors offering ideas for furnishing commercial premises with textiles include Katrin Leuze Collection, Rica Riebe, Steen Design and Zoeppritz. Among the companies with wining and dining products meeting the special requirements of the contract business are AdHoc, Asa Selection, Koziol, Eva Solo and Zero One One.

With their exhibition stands clearly marked with the Contract Business label, these suppliers are easy to find at the fair. Additionally, all are identified as such in the Tendence catalogue and, in addition to their entry in the main section, listed separately as contract business exhibitors. Thanks to a digital matchmaking platform with restricted access and supplier verification, visitors can look up validated information about companies and make appointments for personal meetings at the fair.
