Summer 2015 Las Vegas Market reports continued growth in home décor

Las Vegas Market announced that showroom leasing for this summer's official debut of C5, a new showroom floor spotlighting high-end home décor, home textiles and accessories, is pacing ahead of schedule, with some 60 boutique home, accessory and gift lines confirmed for the Summer 2015 Las Vegas Market, running August 2-6, 2015.

Showroom leasing momentum for the formal debut of our redesigned C5 floor has exceeded our expectations, and with occupancy projected occupancy of 55% achieved in just 8 months,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “This rapid growth of the better home décor, textiles and accessories category is a key component of new positioning of Las Vegas Market as the leading buying platform for furniture, home décor and gifts in the western United States.

Recently announced anchor tenants Moda Dora, a southern California-based sales agency, and the Bianci Group, from the Pacific Northwest, have joined forces to open a 16,543-square-foot showroom for Summer Market, bringing a robust selection of leading upscale lines. “Las Vegas simply is the West Coast design show and the fastest growing market in the West!” declared Dino Hillas, owner of Moda Dora. “This is why Denise White, owner of the Bianci Group, and I decided to join forces and open a 16,000-square-foot showroom at World Market Center Las Vegas, where our goal is to bring the finest, cutting-edge home accessories, furniture, lighting, tabletop and better gifts to the market place.

In addition to the continuing growth of C5, other highlights of Summer Market include a celebration of the Market's 10-year anniversary; the creation of C11, a new showroom floor for gourmet housewares, tabletop and specialty food; the premiere of the casual furniture launch at Las Vegas Market, with 250,000 square feet of permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space on C12 and C13; and the repositioning and reimagining of the Market's temporary exhibits as The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, a dramatic, freestanding, climate controlled temporary tradeshow space showcasing some 450 innovative and emerging gift, home décor, and unique one-of-a-kind resources.
