More than 100 Spanish brands of furniture, home textiles, decoration and gifts will be present at Maison&Objet Paris in January

This January edition of Maison & Objet is attended by more than 100 Spanish companies, mainly from the world of gift and accessories for decoration, but also from other sectors such as furniture, which ICEX supports through a grouped participation, coordinated by the Anieme association, attended by seven furniture companies. Parallel to this fair is the Paris Deco Off event, from January 18 to 22, in which ICEX also supports the participation of ten Spanish companies that edit home textiles coordinated by the association Ateval-Home Textiles from Spain.

Maison & Objet is one of the most important international fairs of furniture, decoration and home accessories. It gathers professionals, manufacturers, designers and prescribers from all over the world twice a year (in January and September) in Paris. In this event, which has been consecrated as an unmissable event for the sector, new trends, talents and concepts for the home are shown.

In the January 2017 edition, 3,200 brands participated and more than 85,000 visitors attended. Of them, 65% were buyers.

Maison & Objet fair devoted to the small decorative object is held from 19 to 23 of January. On this occasion, ICEX Spain Export and Investment, in collaboration with the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Paris and under the umbrella of Interiors From Spain, organizes for the first time a Spanish Area, in which four Spanish companies of glassware, tableware, carpets and fabrics for upholstery and decoration will participate. This space will have a joint and harmonic image and will be divided into small areas of work and product exhibition.

France is our first world market for products for the habitat (furniture, lighting, home textiles, furniture and decoration accessories) and represents more than 22% of our total exports to the world of this sector. Spain sold to France products for the habitat from January to October 2017 for a value close to 688 million euros, 5% more than in the same period of 2016. Of these, 396 million euros corresponded to furniture and 151 million, to textiles for the home.
