Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya fairs observe attendance record in 2018 and become an unmissable international event for professionals

Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya have been chosen by professionals from the sectors of decoration, gift, jewelry and fashion accessories, as well as jewelery, watchmaking and related industries, for their purchases of next Spring-Summer. In this way, it revalidates its convening power and its leadership in the Iberian Peninsula. During five days, the three salons gathered in pavilions 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of IFEMA the largest offer of news and trends through the proposals of more than 1,500 exhibitors and national and international brands, conforming the largest professional space dedicated to decoration and gift.

A call especially characterized by the high qualification and the power of decision of the visitors, with an affluence of 40,000 professionals from 65 countries. In this line, it is worth mentioning the International and National Guests Program, which on this occasion has been attended by 416 buyers from 45 countries.

Best interior designers at Intergift

In reference to the visitor profile of Intergift, we must underline the upward trend of the presence of decorators, architects and interior designers, which have accounted for 18.5% of the total influx of visitors to the Fair. In this regard, it is worth mentioning the attendance of some of the most outstanding names in this field such as Adriana Nicolau, Beatriz Silveira, David Jiménez García, Erico Navazo, Ester Moreno, Elena Ayuso, Ignacio Alegría, Jean Porsche, Jaime de Pablo-Romero, Juan Luis Medina, Julián Gallego, Jerome Wepierre, Guille García-Hoz, Lorenzo Castillo, Luis García Fraile, Manuel Such, Manuel Espejo, Manuel Moreno, Mar Vera, Pepe Leal, Raúl Martins, Sergio Sánchez, Susana Beltrán, Virginia Gasch, Laura Gärna, Nuria Alia, among others.

These results coincide with the extraordinary participation of 140 leading international brands and companies in textile design, wallpapers and wall coverings, which offered the largest and most complete reference for Textile Edition in our country.

In its fourth edition, the heart of Textile Editors, a Trends Zone was presented, which, in a very visual way, offered the visitor an interesting perspective of the most outstanding lines of design, colors, prints, fabrics, etc., proposed by the brands for the new season. The Trends Zone was organized in collaboration with Interiores magazine, based on the ideas and creativity of the specialized stylist Paloma Pacheco Turnes.

Intergift, which occupied pavilions 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 of IFEMA, showed the most complete perspective of proposals and trends in decoration, as well as thousands of innovative ideas in gift items, with the participation of 904 companies and brands of 24 countries.

Also with the focus of attention in the pavilions where the novelties were presented as a young gift, the world of licenses or the multiproduct sector, among other proposals, it is necessary to point out the attendance of supermarkets and specialized trade in gifts, toy stores, bookstores, hardware stores, online stores, as well as wholesalers. The Hall is ratified as well as the largest reference in the world of decoration and gift in Spain, with more than 40,000 square meters of exhibition, which represented a significant increase of 9% compared to the last call.

Bisutex crowded

Bisutex counted with the participation of 427 companies and brands from 32 countries -68 of which attended for the first time-, with thousands of jewelery proposals, as well as numerous fancy watch lines, sunglasses, handbags, belts, ornaments from hair, handkerchiefs, hats and small leather goods. He also presented the latest news in Travel articles, with the new collections of suitcases, bags and other products for the next Spring-Summer campaign.

The fair, a great benchmark in Spain for the jewelery and accessories sector, also had its space to promote young designers and brands through the Bisutex Minis, which on this occasion hosted 45 companies. Concerning the visitors, they arrived from 47 countries, the dominant profile has been the shop professional specializing in costume jewelery, which has accounted for about 20% of the total, to which are added clothing stores, gift and designers , among others.

High professionals attendance at MadridJoya

For its part, MadridJoya once again brought together the jeweler sector around a unique professional event in Spain, aimed at the campaign of baptisms, communions, weddings, and other celebrations such as Mother's Day, where 174 companies and brands from 11 countries, of which 34 did so for the first time, participated. The fair brought together a high professional level with a prominent presence of specialized jewelry trade, which has represented about 20%, as well as designers, manufacturers, wholesalers and large surfaces.

Record of attendance for the parallel activities

The parallel activities held in the Speakers’ Corner of Intergift and MadridJoya registered a great success with more than 1,100 attendees in total.

The Intergift Speakers’ Corner, which was attended by renowned interior designers, hosted an extensive program of conferences, presentations and round tables in which the keys and tools to promote the activity and the business were analyzed. In addition, the professionals especially highlighted the design of this meeting point, made by the Madrid School of Decoration. In relation to the Speakers’ Corner of MadridJoya, an interesting program of workshops and lectures on jewelry and watchmaking was also developed, as well as lectures on pricing, marketing techniques or online commerce, among other topics. Thus, it became the best opportunity to promote the relationship between the different agents of the high jewelery, consumer jewelery, silverware, watchmaking and related industries sectors.

As part of the program were held other sessions aimed at showing the value of decoration in different areas, as well as new trends in decoration, taught by the Madrid School of Decoration, Gift Fame, WGSN, Mindway, Canterano, Spanish Association of Florists. To these were added other success stories and talks on digital communication, with Houzz, and social networks, with the company Brainprise.

On the other hand, the Tobacconist Union presented the PocketPay prepaid card to the estancos, the usual buyers of the Salón, a new project that reinforces and updates the service vocation that has always been linked to these stores.

Hotels & Retail Design 2018

The Intergift activities were completed with the celebration of the Hotels & Retail Design day, organized by the Group Via, which was attended by the best studies of interior designers of the hotel and commercial sector, such as Chapman Taylor, Cat In Square, Aneta Mijatovic , January Architecture, Freehand Architecture and Intu Spain, who showed their most recent projects and debated about the current and future of the sector. This activity put the poster of complete with more 140 professionals.

Por su parte, la Unión de Estanqueros presentó a los estancos, habituales compradores del Salón, la tarjeta prepago PocketPay, un nuevo proyecto que refuerza y actualiza la vocación de servicio que siempre ha estado vinculada a estos comercios.
