Magic moments in contract furnishing at Ambiente 2018

Rooms with a wow effect. So-called magic moments are becoming increasingly important, not just for hotels and restaurants, but also in a working environment and in public space. Inspiration, trends and innovative solutions for this purpose can be found by architects, furnishing contractors and planners at Ambiente from 9 to 13 February 2018.

Year on year the world's biggest consumer goods trade fair features the innovative products of over 4,450 exhibitors from around 100 countries. Among this vast range the Contract Business Programme provides an Ambiente guide to some individual moments of happiness, geared specially to the needs of furnishing contractors as well as hotels, restaurants and cafés.

“The catalogue and the markings at the stands are intended as a practical tool for those who are interested, helping them to find their way straight to exhibitors who can cater for their needs. This means they’ll save valuable time both during and after the trade fair, and they will discover new partners and solutions for their projects more quickly,” says Nicolette Naumann, Vice President Ambiente.

Hey-Sign: full-scale solutions for all five senses

Such magic moments are, for instance, created for designers, including interior designers, by Hey-Sign. The studio has regularly received awards for its high-quality felt products, e.g. the Red Dot and the German Design Award. Using its own collection, the company has developed a range of highly innovative contract furnishing concepts. Both the creative work and production take place in Germany, so that the partners can communicate quickly and have short routes. One of their recent projects was the new building of the Münster Textile Association, whose offices and premises were equipped by Hey-Sign with its well-known Wave room dividers and individually designed wool felt panels. The full-scale solution for the prestigious property reached from the design, through the production of special felts to the assembly.
