Cevisama commits in only one month 85% of the surface planned for 2016

CEVISAMA Organising Committee meets in Castellón to assess the commercial situation and objectives for the next call, due to take place from 1 to 5 February, 2016, in Feria Valencia, and has excellent prospects. It is now less than a month after CEVISAMA started marketing actions and about 85% of the exhibition surface foreseen for 2016 is already covered, with many companies renewing their commitment with us and as many returning after several years' absence, or becoming exhibitors for the first time. For Carmen Álvarez, director of CEVISAMA, “these are exciting figures, and this means we can be very optimistic, giving us the encouragement we need to work even more effectively, both on the demand and on the supply side, so that the showcase par-excellence of the whole ceramic industry, bathroom and natural stone sectors, grows even fasterCEVISAMA will also have a ceramic machinery range in 2016.  They are always present in the fair in even years and at present, as Mrs. Alvarez explained to the Committee, the participation nearly matches that of 2014. On the other hand, another of the basic core subjects submitted for discussion in this meeting was the growing interest of the the Italian companies to participate in CEVISAMA. Up to now, 22 companies have confirmed their participation. Among them, Ceramiche Refin’s participation should be emphasized, as it is one of the top ten italian companies in the ceramic sector making its debut in the Spanish trade fair. "Other firms also belonging to the Italian top ten, are in the process of joining the event, so more good news will follow shortly”  says the Director. For CEVISAMA’s president, Manuel Rubert, “the reaction of Italian companies is very important, not only for those who confirmed their participation, but also because of the "drag along" effect that it may have on other companies”.  In fact, Mr. Rubert trusts that there will be more additions as a result of the next commercial international action programmed by the fair in Italy, due to take place in Bologna in September. The Spanish companies belonging to the frit and glaze industry, recognized as world-wide leaders, have already confirmed their confidence in CEVISAMA. And regading the bathroom sector, another of the pillars upon which to base CEVISAMA’s future growth, is one of the targets of the fair’s commercial efforts, specially in the domestic market.  Those efforts are starting to produce results, although figures are still modest. In this connection, CEVISAMA has planned a great presentation for Catalonia, due to take place on 23 July 2015 in the headquarters of the AMEC ASCON Business Association. New agreements to attract visitors and exhibitors, placing Central Europe as a priority Finally, CEVISAMA is developping its own national and international promotion plans for capturing high quality professional visitors. A commitment giving priority this year to Central Europe, and a decission that has been unanimously adopted by the companies of the sector during the different meetings held with the organization of the fair in May and June. As Mrs. Alvarez puts it: “we are going to work in two strands, through individual invitations to VIP clients and also invitations sent to groups, mainly European associations of distributors of both ceramic and bathroom products”. With this objective, CEVISAMA has concluded a collaboration agreement with VDF-Bundesverband des Deutschen Fliesenfachhandels (the German tiles importer/distributor association), thanks to the mediation of ICEX.  Among other actions, we are considering the possibility of organizing a great International Work Meeting between large German distributors and Spanish exhibitors in the framework of CEVISAMA. Similarly, CEVISAMA is about to conclude another agreement with the European Federation of UFEMAT (European Association of manufacturing and distribution companies of materials for the construction industry) in order to reach all members of the European Association of construction materials and ensure the presence in CEVISAMA of the major bathroom and ceramic materials distributors.
