For a decade the Wallpaper* Design Awards have celebrated annually the people, places, pieces and phenomena that have fascinated and resonated with their editorial staff over the past year.

In 2013 the WIREFLOW collection by Arik Levy played with viewer perspective, materializing as a two dimensional line drawing suspended in mid-air and giving life to a groundbreaking modern version of the pendant light. In answer, Wallpaper* Design honoured the concept with an award for BEST LINE WORK 2013.

According to Levy, “WIREFLOW is concurrently presence and absence, transparency and luminosity, light and fluidity, imbuing the elusive, immaterial essence of light with tangible, architectural qualities”.

Victoria Beckham and Spike Jonze, along with Thaddeis Ropac, Michael Chow, Ron Gilad and Thom Mayne, form the international jury which selected the 11 major award winners. The Wallpaper* team, together with its network of editors, photographers, writers and contributors, selected the winners of the 33 other awards.

All winners are revealed in the February Issue and were applauded in a live award ceremony in San Francisco (joint Best City winner with Marseille) on January 15th 2014.

The WIREFLOW collection will be launched onto the market in March 2014.
