Recently presented to the market, the suspension version of io 3d lamp by German company Occhio, wins the Interior Innovation Award 2014 given by the German Design Council and which will be displayed at the Trend Avenue in the LivingInteriors Cologne show next January.

In the new suspended LED luminaire the elegance of a fine suspension combines with the striking form of the characteristic head. The “joy of light” philosophy is mirrored by every detail: The heat insulated grip pads make the head touchable and thus allow for a free alignment of the light thanks to its 3d joint and 360° rotatability. Controlling the luminaires is a breeze: they can be switched and dimmed easily - by a simple gesture, completely touchless. With the same ease of use the magnetically attached lens can be removed to insert optical elements and color filters. Latest LED technology guarantees best quality of light (color rendering index CRI 95) with a choice of light colors (warm white 2700 Kelvin to 4000 Kelvin, similar to daylight).

Available in a choice of six freely configurable surfaces, the io 3d sospeso - even only just introduced - instantly won a prestigious design prize: the “Interior Innovation Award 2014” of the German Design Council.
