The Pulpas architecture studio has carried out the interior design project of the awesome La Pilar Asador restaurant in Murcia. This work has earned it a candidacy as a finalist in the prestigious Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2018, in the “Ceiling” category.

The studio tells us how the project was developed,

In response to an “exuberant identity” design concept asked by our client, the project is a continuous dialogue between digital contemporary design, manufacturing of local craftspeople, and an awareness to the local organic economy using low-tech resources.

We focused on an eye-catching element that could be flexible (lighting) with our client's visions and could create at the same time an immersive and sensible environment. A serene movement of the ceiling tries to surpass the duality of past and future by merging old materic memories from grill-houses and contemporary digital aesthetics.

An environmental ceiling installation that solves acoustic, luminous, climatic and aesthetic questions ensuring our clients needs are met while raising the curiosity of the user.
