Collective Norse Projects links up Fritz Hansen, Vans, Kvadrat and Poul Kjærholm in a tribute to Danish design

In a project paying homage to Danish design, Norse Projects has curated a 4 way collaborative project with Vault by Vans, Kvadrat, Poul Kjærholm and Fritz Hansen entitled “stoflighed”. The Danish word stoflighed describes a mixture of materiality and texture, a key element in Danish architectural and design tradition.

Contemporary textile producer Kvadrat supplied the Tundra and Tonica fabrics for the project. These textiles were then applied to two iconic skateboard shoe models from Vans - Era and Chukka. Both models are available in three distinct colourways, and express rich tones and textural qualities. The fabrics were equally applied to two classic pieces of furniture, the PK80 daybed and PK91 folding stool from Danish architect Poul Kjærholm, who is revered for his minimal yet functionally oriented designs, and produced by renowned company Fritz Hansen.

The installation will accompany releases worldwide • Concept and design curation by Norse Projects • Footwear from Vault by Vans • Fabric by KvadratPoul Kjærholm furniture by Fritz Hansen • Limited quantities available during Paris Design Week. Colette, 213 rue saint-honoré 75001 Paris, France • In store & online official launch September 28 at Norse Projects, Pilestræde 41, 1114 Copenhagen
