After Big Table's success amid both the public and the press, Belgian designer Alain Gilles devises a second table for Bonaldo. Its name - Welded - recalls the welding process and alludes to the main features of this new product: essential appeal, practicality, clean-cut lines with a male design free of any superfluous decorations.

As Alain Gilles explains, the idea for Welded springs from research into minimalism, understood in this case as the reduced use of materials and the utmost simplification of all processing phases.

The legs, which distinguish the table and give it an almost architectural appeal, are made of steel: the parts used to make them are obtained from laser-cut sheet steel, and they are then welded together. The steel is painted matt white, anthracite grey, bright red, orange, green and brown.

The rectangular-shaped top is available in four different sizes up to 3 metres in length, either in wood (lacquered matt white, Hickory walnut, solid American walnut, solid anthracite grey brushed oak) in glass (etched black glass, extra clear etched white glass) or in the original version in matt white Carrara marble, which is especially appealing teamed with the steel legs (the marble is available in all sizes except 3 metres long).
