Vaselli - Spirito Pietra: Italian design with a passion for natural stone lands at Espai Rö in Barcelona

On February 13, 2014, Vaselli - Spirito Pietra of Rapolano Terme (Siena) was presented to the press and public at the Espai Rö architectural studio and showroom located in central Calle Muntaner in Barcelona. The event included a selection of the company's most distinctive products, work techniques and finishes.

The partnership between Vaselli and the Espai Rö showroom - set up in 2010 by the designers Efrem López Moya and Adrián Jurado Batanás - is based on affinity, and the variety of elements the two companies and their founders have in common.

The Espai Rö showroom now houses a “Stone Space” dedicated to Vaselli. In this area both Catalan and overseas visitors can become acquainted with the Tuscany-based company's century-long experience in crafting quality natural stones, which results in products standing in a class of their own in terms of beauty, craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality design.

“A company with a tailored approach like ours needs to find partners with affinity of ideas in order to develop its projects and tackle the challenges of the future” - says Danilo Vaselli, who runs the Tuscany based company together with his sister Cinzia and brother David. “We instantly felt in synch with Efrem and Adrián and with the philosophy the Espai Rö showroom seeks to transmit to those who visit it. As they themselves explain: it is something more than an architectural studio, and absolutely more than a showroom.” “The partnership is based on the shared values that form the basis of our modus operandi. On the evening of February 13 one of Vaselli's most distinctive and innovative products - the Oco Vaselli kitchen system created by the designers Emanuel Gargano and Marco Fagioli - has been presented at 182 Calle Muntaner, Barcelona. Specifically, a white travertine island made entirely inside the company plant at Rapolano Terme where industrial production and artisan skills are sublimely combined. The exhibition of these products will be open to professionals and public during six months in Barcelona.

The Spanish partnership is another step forward in Vaselli's international retail expansion plan, which includes other prestigious venues in London, Copenhagen, Cannes and Berlin.
