ITS DESIGNER...Ramón Esteve

Ramon Esteve, architect and designer works in architecture, interior design and product design fields.

INSPIRATION... ULM Design School

Its name comes form one the most influential design schools. ULM, located in Germany became for a time a disrupting school thanks to its experimental pedagogy.

ITS DESIGN...

The concept of clean and minimal spheric geometry makes it look like a shell balanced over the ground. Its circular shape and its big size makes the placement in the spaces easier, orientating it easily as it swivels 360º.

Its articulated parasol protects the interior when not in use, providing a delicate shade filtering the light through the light fabric. The possibility of lighting it up in different colors, gives it an innovative and hi-tech character.

FROM DESIGN TO ACCURATE REPRODUCTION

Vondom's team of designers and engineers were able to develop the product following strictly the original guidelines given by Ramon Esteve. The complexity of making the parasol ring in only one piece, as well as the hydraulic system, were necessary for its development and functionality.
