In 2011, the Pantone colour of the year is Honeysuckle Pink, or technically speaking, Pantone 18-2120 Honeysuckle. The new shade, a warm blend of pink and red, gets its name from honeysuckle, a spectacular flower which draws humming birds to its nectar with its colour rather than its sweet scent.

This natural and poetic image and the intensity of the new colour appealed to Bonaldo, who associated it instinctively with one of its younger, nature-friendly “classic” products: the Papillon sofa bed, which now comes in “Honeysuckle” and is available in a limited edition of 99 pieces.

Designed twenty years ago, in 1991, and still proving as popular as it did the day it was launched on the market, Papillon stands out for its soft shapes which recall those of a butterfly. It is also an extremely functional object, perfect for young and informal homes, thanks to the practical mechanism which easily pulls open into a practical bed.

The limited edition Papillon is further confirmation of the vitality of Bonaldo, a company that promptly responds to society's signals and which is ever ready to turn trends into products that perfectly accommodate the market needs.
