Nikari at Downtown Design Dubai, and introduction of its new October Light chair designed by Samuli Naamanka
NIKARI&FRIENDS October 2015 product is October Light: lighter than light wooden chair by Samuli Naamanka. From 26 to 31 October, the Finnish company will be presenta at at the Downtown Design fair during the Dubai Design Week.
Finnish design company Nikari shows us its October Nikari&FRIENDS product by the award-winning designer Samuli Naamanka. Their collaboration began in 2012 with the October chair of the “12 DESIGNS FOR NATURE” series, and continued in a form of the new “October Light”, a project version of the original model.
October Light is made of solid birch and molded birch plywood, surface treatment water-based lacquer. The designer's words of the original October chair seem very appropriate for this lighter than light version as well: “October chair was inspired by the rainy but colourful Finnish autumn. My goal was to design a stackable chair - the October winds had their special effect on the light forms and curves.”
This month Nikari is participating in the Dubai Design Week - Downtown Design fair on 26-31 October
