Andreu World comes back from USA with three Best of neocon awards

Andreu World has received three awards for the new collections presented
at NeoCon trade fair. Held from 9 to 11 June in Chicago. The Flex Corporate chair and the Raglan sofa both receive the 2014 Best of NeoCon Gold Winner award. The highest distinction in the categories “conference seating” and “sofas and lounges“. The Unos Chair design by Jasper Morrison, obtains the Silver Award in the category “Stacking“/stackable chairs.

NeoCon is the United States most important furniture and habitat professional trade fair. Its annual celebration gathers more than 40,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors in the Merchandise Mart building, venue where Andreu World has a permanent showroom.

The Flex Corporate seating collection, designed by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga, has been awarded the “Gold Award” for the Best seat in the “Conference Seating” category. Its specific design for extended use in public spaces, as well as its great ergonomics, innovation and comfort, were features that convinced the jury comprised of members from 45 sector companies, representatives of government institutions, interior designers, architects and opinion leaders responsible for the selection and purchase of furniture.

Likewise, the new Raglan sofa, created by the same Italian designer, obtained another “Gold Award” in the “Sofas & Lounges” category. It is a modular sofa created for community environments, and suitable for either corporate, public or private spaces.

Finally, the Unos Chair created by the designer Jasper Morrison, has been awarded with the “Silver Award” in the “Stacking” category (stackable designs).

In this edition of the Best of NeoCon Awards, distributed between 40 categories of products and furniture, a total of 810 products have participated from more than 300 manufacturers. This contest has been sponsored by the American magazine Contract, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., The International Interior Design Association (IIDA), The International Facility Management Association (IFFMA) and McMorrowReport.com.
