From Agape's latest products - presented during Milan Design Week - to the origins of the trademark, which has now a 40 years’ experience in bath furnishing behind it, Agape presented a retrospective of the 40 years’ activity in the new concept store Agape12 in Milan. The Drop collection, designed by Benedini Associati, or the DR bathtub designed by Studio MK27, among the nolveties of the brand.

From “Drop” designed by Benedini Associati - Agape's latest product launched during Fuorisalone 2014 - to “Erion” - the first modular bathroom furniture designed by Giampaolo Benedini in 1974, symbol of the business continuity-, the exhibition is structured like a trip backwards by means of 42 iconic models represented by pictures, sketches and genuine products.

Four items have been chosen to mark each decade: Erion and Pump by Giampaolo Benedini, Gabbiano by Giuseppe Pasquali and Pear by Patricia Urquiola. The whole ground floor was used as a setting for the retrospective. In the bathroom spaces placed at the entrance of the store, the new DR bathtub, which is the first result of the partnership between the Italian company and the Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, and the new Drop system found their location.

Along the central aisle, a backlit gallery of 24 photos led to the last room, with other 20 images, set on a suggestive mirrored wall, together with some pieces of history displayed as proper museum objects. Aside, the sketches of trusted designers like Angelo Mangiarotti and Giuseppe Pasquali.

Drop Collection by Benedini Associati

With Drop we took on the difficult task of designing a bathtub that can be used simultaneously in different positions by more than one person. Drop adds to the production of Agape bathtubs made of Cristalplant® biobased, a material ideally suited to responding to Drop's requirements.

Completing the design project is a washbasin designed to sit on a shelf and a free-standing pedestal version.
