Megaman® toasts success of the Sleep Bar, designed by Nous Design, as best pop up bar at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2014

Megaman®, a leading provider of the latest in LED lamp technology, and Paviom Global are toasting their success at winning the Restaurant & Bar Design Award 2013/2014 in the ‘Pop up Bar’ category for their SLEEP Bar.

The SLEEP Bar, sponsored by MEGAMAN, was created by Nir Gilad of Nous Design Ltd, for the SLEEP 2013 exhibition. The aim was to create a bar that used clean lines and a dramatic focal point to draw exhibition attendees.

The centrepiece of the SLEEP Pop up Bar was a dramatic steel sculpture, created by artist Vlad Tenu, that was lit by Paviom Lofoot floor and wall mounted luminaires that contained MEGAMAN 15w AR111 LED GU10 lamps. In addition the bar area incorporated a Tom Dixon Etch Web and Etch Shade pendant arrangement, using MEGAMAN Classic and IncandaLED Lamps. The rest of the SLEEP bar space was lit by MEGAMAN Modena track lights with 24w TECOH modules inside.

As well as lighting the SLEEP bar space, MEGAMAN technology was also used to illuminate the series of Laufen ceramic sinks used by Nir Gilad to create the tiered effect bar.
