Six Spanish companies, all of them members of ANIEME, will be visiting Lima and Panamá City in order to strengthen the presence of their brands in the local markets: MUEBLES CANELLA, POINT, GRASSOLER, AMBOAN, HERMANOS CALATAYUD and MOBIL FRESNO.

During the trade mission, the export managers will be visiting local importers and specifiers that have been previously visited by ANIEME on occasion of different market research in Peru and Panama.

Both countries are experiencing a significant development of their economies, particularly in the tourism and real estate sectors. As a consequence, over the latest years, the number of new projects in the hospitality and contract sector has grown importantly leading to an increasing demand of furnishing products.

Panama is one of the main destination countries for Spain's furniture exports. During the period January-March 2014, purchases from Spain amounted to 5,9 million euros registering an increase of +277% and placing Panama 13th in the rank of main markets for Spanish furnishing products exports.

As for Peru, the country's economy increased by 6.0% in 2012 and 5.8% at the end of 2013. The number of infrastructures and construction sites for the real estate and hospitality sectors is growing all over the country, mainly in the capital Lima, and therefore there is really a good market for furniture companies specialized in the contract sector.

Recent ANIEME's market research in both countries highlighted the great opportunities for Spanish companies in the retail and contract sectors for medium-high and high-end products.
