The facilities of the Cosentino City Madrid, located on the Paseo de la Castellana, hosted the competition launch event last Thursday afternoon. Students, teachers, renowned professionals and journalists specialising in architecture and design were informed about the details of the 12th Cosentino Design Challenge.
Composed of two categories, the Architecture brief asks students to reflect on “Cosentino and the dramatic arts”, and the Design brief is centred on “Cosentino and light”. In both categories, the participants have complete freedom in developing their final project, which must include a product manufactured by Cosentino: the Silestone® natural quartz surface, the Dekton® ultracompact surface and/or the Sensa® protected granite surface.
In June 2018, the judging panel will announce the winning projects and their designers. There are three winners for each category, who will be awarded €1,000 each, and three special mentions.
