Practice Cool Working by Actiu during London Clerkenwell Design Week

In this event, Actiu will present a revolutionary concept: Cool Working. This is based on creating a space that promotes wellbeing: a place which enhances mobility and can transmit brand and cultural values. A place in which to collaborate, share and innovate, where the goal is to activate all five senses and exchange experiences.

From 24 to 26 May, the Actiu Showroom in London will host a full programme of activities designed to showcase the new trends in working environments. These are based on three focal points: the building, the space and the people. In addition, a selection of Spanish tapas and wine will be provided for all guests to enjoy over the course of the three days and as the activities take place.

On Tuesday 24, a welcome seminar will be held, where all those present will have the opportunity to see Actiu's latest products and will be given an introduction to the application of wellbeing concepts, work styles and Cool Working.

Wednesday 25 will focus on presenting the activity developed by Actiu's main collaborators across their speciality areas: QB Pods will give a general overview of the importance and the benefits of designing the right space in terms of lighting and acoustics. Gabriel Fabrics will give a two-part presentation: one part will be a technical seminar based on the latest developments in fabric and dye technologies, including Trevira CS. The other will be an original discussion on colour trends, which will explore why designers choose certain colours each season. Fresco Protección Solar will talk about fabrics with low-carbon footprints and other specific technical developments in sustainability and life cycle. Time will also be set aside to introduce Actiu's new collaborator, Lightnet.

On Thursday 26, the development of Cool Working by Actiu will take the spotlight. The values that define the philosophy of this concept will be brought to light by taking a journey through wellbeing and seeking a balance between emotional and physical aspects, all of which have a major impact on productivity in working environments. In addition, fresh talent will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills by creating a new piece of furniture in the AEDAS design competition.
