This year, nanimarquina has designed a new rug collection that will immerse us into the stunning world of nature. The Natural Collection has been produced with an exclusive selection of natural fibres that reflect the plurality that nature has to offer: nettle, afghan wool, silk and jute.
The new “GAN SPACES” concept, which from one rug, one image, GAN creates endless possibilities, by adding coordinating cushions, poufs and accessories… will be displayed in Milan, during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile. Spaces designed by Patricia Urquiola, Charlotte Lancelot, Héctor Serrano, Sandra Figuerola and Gandia Blasco.
JMM, the Spanish Design Premium brand for workspaces, presented its latest proposals in the recently closed Orgatec Cologne. LZF Lamps and Alfombras Veo Veo have collaborated with the prestigious firm creating a booth with great visual harmony.
The Carpet Design Awards at DOMOTEX set new global standards for quality and design in hand-made carpets and rugs – and next January sees the eighth round of the annual prize competition. Intending entrants are now invited to submit their entries for the top award in this market segment.

The artwork of Eduardo Chillida (1924-2002) currently represents one of the greatest accomplishments of the arts in the late 20th century. This year nanimarquina has created Chillida collection based on a chronological selection of his work.
OW Hospitality today announced the appointment of Jonathan Young, formerly of Brintons Carpets as the “Director of Global Sales” for the company. Mr. Young will be tasked with leading the sales effort worldwide for OW Hospitality as they continue with their aggressive expansion plans in the hospitality carpet segment. Young’s experience in hospitality dates back 30+ years and he has worked in key positions for such successful companies as Milliken in both the USA and international markets, and most recently as CEO of Brintons US Axminster Inc. Young will be based in the company’s US office.

The flooring trends and fashions for the 2012/2013 season will be on show at DOMOTEX, the world¿s foremost trade fair for carpets and floor coverings, from 14 to 17 January 2012. “DOMOTEX is a business platform and flooring lifestyle show in one, a powerful mix that makes it the most important annual event for the international carpet and floor coverings industry,” commented Deutsche Messe Management Board member Dr. Andreas Gruchow. “All indications are that it’s going to be a great success.
