DROR is awarded 1st place in DawnTown’s Landmark Miami Competition
DawnTown has just announced the winners for their 2013 ideas competition entitled Landmark Miami. This year’s theme focused on how cities are instantly identified by the individual structures within them. Dror Studio were tasked with creating an iconic architectural piece that contributes to the image of Miami.

Erasmus University Rotterdam is a research University and internationally recognised for its high quality teaching. In 2007 the University launched a master plan to modernise and increase the capacity of the Woudestein campus. A master plan was drawn up to re-organise the layout of the University and separate the built up zone of the University from a greener zone with open spaces for students to enjoy.

The International Association of Lighting Designers, IALD, has announced the winners of 30th Annual IALD International Lighting Design Awards. Ten award winners representing architectural lighting design projects from nine countries. The award ceremony took place on April 24, in the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia (USA).
Share this:Toyo Ito of Japan is the 2013 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate
Toyo Ito, a 71 year old architect whose architectural practice is based in Tokyo, Japan, will be the recipient of the 2013 Pritzker Architecture Prize. It was announced today by Thomas J. Pritzker, chairman of The Hyatt Foundation which sponsors the prize. Ito is the sixth Japanese architect to become a Pritzker Laureate – the first five being the late Kenzo Tange in 1987, Fumihiko Maki in 1993, Tadao Ando in 1995, and the team of Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa in 2010.

Architecture firm Office 53427 wraps with HI-MACS® the Pan-gyo Residence (Korea)
With the construction of the Pan-gyo Residence by the Korean architecture firm, Office 53427, a HI-MACS® façade was used for the first time in Korea. The properties of the material masterfully underline the objectives of the firm, which has set itself the goal of using new materials and technologies to counteract the homogeneous Korean architectural landscape and its monolithic design.
